ZTA Power supplied 4 units of 1600kVA Cummins diesel generator sets to a newly constructed broadcasting media facility in Africa. The generators serve as the primary backup power system for the building, ensuring uninterrupted power supply for critical broadcasting equipment, studios, transmission systems, and IT infrastructure.

Africa media sector is undergoing rapid modernization, with new broadcast facilities requiring highly reliable power solutions. Grid instability in the region makes dependable backup power essential for continuous on-air operations — even a brief power interruption can result in broadcast signal loss and equipment damage.The client required a robust, high-capacity power system capable of supporting the entire facility’s load, including sensitive electronic broadcasting equipment that demands clean, stable power output.

Solution

ZTA Power delivered 4× Cummins KTA50-GS8 powered generator sets, each rated at 1600kVA standby / 1475kVA prime power at 50Hz. The four units operate in parallel to provide a combined standby capacity of 6400kVA, ensuring full facility coverage with built-in redundancy.
